kia ora Rena! ka pai you have this pukapuka manuhiri – my name is Martha (nickname Martita) and I live in Chicago…….I am a licensed solicitor and work traveling throughout the US as a fraud investigator for Allstate. I also have a tino pai rawa side business (see my website above) so I had the chance to spend two choice weeks in Aotearoa back in February and March of this year and I loved it to death – I am half Mexican and very proud of my indegenous roots so I had a lot to korero w/ my Maori bros and sissies about….nonetheless, even though I’m back home now, I am still continuing to practice taku reo online and w/ some kiwi ex-pat buddies who live here in the US (u might know taku hoa Dane Ngahuka?? he lives in Nevada and he and his mates are very active bringing maoritanga to the desert – I’m gonna see it them weekend in fact). Also, I’m writing a book/screenplay – semi-autobiographical mostly set in Chicago, but I’ve recently added a few Maori characters and hope maybe you might be able to star in it…..(hey – as you’re so busy I know it’s a long shot – plus I gotta finish it first – hehehe)

I met you before in Toronto in year 2000. You were shooting the film ‘All American Girl”. I used to work in TJ Copy Centre. I didn’t realize you are that “big” until I found the card you gave me and tried to search you on the internet. I still keep our picture together. I wish you more luck and more films, awards, and of course happiness.
