New Zealand is a relative small country south-east of Australia. Well known for its great scenery and nature with many variations from beaches and palm trees, to sub-tropical rainforest and active volcanoes and fjords much like those found in Norway. When you get there its easy to see that its reputation for being "clean and green" is well deserved.


New Zealand is like a miniature of the world, there so much diversity and things to see and experience. You can tramp along an active volcano, see geysers and boiling mud, swim with dolphins and watch whales. How about walk through a Kauri forest with some of the largest and oldest trees on earth. 
The New Zealanders or kiwis loves their outdoor activities, so there is plenty to do outdoors. There is many places to go white-water rafting, cave rafting. You can go rock and mountain climbing, tandem skydiving. How about skiing down long glaciers, take wild jetboat rides in a shotoverjet on the river and many other things.


And not the least Bungy jumping, which actually was invented in New Zealand.
Skippers Canyon in Queenstown is the place to challenge yourself to jump out from a bridge 134 meters above the ground only with a rubberband attached to your legs.
New Zealand has a unique flora and fauna with many plants and animals which only can be found in New Zealand. The kiwi bird is a good example of that, which also is the national symbol for New Zealand.
New Zealand has a population of about 3.5 million people. And 78.3% of them is Pakeha(european) and about 13% Maori and 5% Pacific islanders.

They do have lots of sheep though, about 70 million of them running around on those green pastures.


New Zealand consist of mainly the two big islands, the South and North Island. The capital is Wellington at the bottom of the North Island, but the biggest city on the North Island is Auckland which has a population of over 1 million people. In Auckland you can find the largest consentration of polynesians in the whole world, which kinda makes it the polynesian capital.

New Zealand main exports are meat, dairy products, fish and forest products, fruits and vegetables, where kiwi fruit, apples and pears is ranked high.

New Zealand is just something you have to experience, you will quickly love its nature, climate, culture and its friendly people.
